My new book, Beyond Death, is out!

This past Nov. 1, my essay “Beyond Death” won a runner-up prize in the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies essay contest for the best evidence on the survival of human consciousness after permanent bodily death. On Dec. 4, I went to Las Vegas to receive my award from Robert Bigelow (R) and Colm Kelleher (L), as you can see below. The awards banquet was a great chance to meet a lot of luminaries in this field, including contest judges Leslie Kean, Jeffrey Kripal, and Jessica Utts.

Now, I’m excited to announce that, in addition to being available in PDF form on the BICS website, my essay has also been published in a beautiful, 176-page paperback edition as well as on Kindle. It’s a great guide to the evidence for life after death, not just for those new to the field but for researchers as well, as I worked hard to systematize the evidence, describe several lesser-known evidential cases, and specifically, to address the super-psi/living-agent psi hypothesis. I think the result is a great distillation of a century and a half of research, in compact (and giftable!) form.

I hope you’ll enjoy!

    1. Well, just to be clear, I did not have a near-death experience. This book is an analysis of various afterlife research conducted in the last 150 years, not my own personal experience. Still, I think you will find it very interesting!
